Today Is The Day
Yoga teacher training starts tonight! I will have no weekends for the next 3 months. It’s going to be awesome! I also decided this would be a good time to start a self-imposed sugar ban. We’ll see how that one goes. I think I have a better chance of learning how to do a handstand.
Also, no half marathon for me. I decided it wouldn’t be worth it to trek all the way out to the...

1...2...3... CATCH!
4 gold medals and 1 silver. Not bad for our first year as a team. We proved that we could compete with some of the fastest teams out there that have been training together for years. Can’t wait to see how we do next season!

Good News, Bad News
Good: I put down a deposit and signed up for yoga teacher training! Another item I can check off my list. Training starts September 23rd and it will basically take up all my weekends and lots of my weekday nights until December. I can’t wait!
Bad: Remember that half marathon I signed up for 5 months ago? Well it’s now less than a month away and I am not ready AT ALL! I tried to go for...

Turner's Birthday Funeral
My friend Turner recently celebrated his 30th birthday with a funeral. Because I guess the saying is that “once you hit 30, your life is over.” There were many touching speeches given by his closest friends and a funeral procession through the streets to scatter his glittery ashes. We got a lot of strange looks from people as we walked by, probably due to the way Turner was dressed.

Fatima + Percy 05.29.2011
I met Fatima in middle school, but we didn’t really become friends until freshman year of high school when she opened my eyes to the world of Korean pop music. It’s been ages since I’ve listened to that stuff but every so often we’ll reminisce about the good old days in Health class listening to H.O.T.
Since I was in the bridal party I only have photos of us in the suite...

DONE! To Learn #27: Acoustic Guitar
A long time ago my sister asked for a guitar for Christmas because she wanted to learn how to play. I never noticed her practicing but some years later I realized that she had somehow taught herself how to play! We started having mini jam sessions at home where she would she would play guitar and I would try to sing along.
Then 2 years ago she got a nicer guitar and I took her old guitar. (I...

I signed up for the Hamptons Half Marathon in September.
Now to start training. Does anyone want to come to NYC and run in Central Park with me?

How Often Do You Shampoo Your Hair? →
I found this article on an unusual way to save some money, right after running to Target to get another bottle of shampoo. Basically, go without soap and shampoo and you could save hundreds of dollars each year. I am scared to try it though, because I know my hair gets oily looking really quickly. But the article does say that you just have to train your hair and it will learn to stop looking...
